Course Objectives and Content

Although you will study many topics and learn many skills in this course, your goal will always be to become a good equation solver. That is what algebra is all about—solving equations. This is because much of what goes on in the world around us can be described by a mathematical model called an equation. People who are good equation solvers tend to be good problem solvers in their personal lives and their careers.

You will focus on linear, polynomial, rational, radical, and quadratic equations in this course. You will also learn about matrices, inequalities, and systems of equations and inequalities.
